All bookings for non-emergency patient transport must be made through the Patient Transport Advice Centre.

Open weekdays between 8.30am and 6.30pm, the centre is responsible for all aspects of the booking process, as well as the telephone assessment which is used to decide if a patient is eligible for free transport.

If a patient is eligible, the centre will arrange the transportation to hospital with E-zec Medical Transport Services Ltd, which provides the vehicle and driver for the journey.

Should a patient be denied free transport, the team at the centre will discuss what other options might be available to them.
