Local people who were unable to attend the CCG's recent meetings on the Integral Medical Holdings (IMH) Group's involvement with primary care in Swindon are now able to catch up on what they missed.

The presentation shown at the meetings on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 September can be downloaded by clicking here

An opportunity for people to receive answers direct from the CCG's Executive Team, the meetings were attended by around 100 people and generated a unique discussion in which attendants were able to convey their concerns, questions and ideas for the future.

IMH’s involvement with five local GP practices – Abbey Meads Medical Group, Taw Hill Medical Practice, Moredon Medical Centre, Phoenix Surgery and Eldene Surgery – began in 2016 after GP partners from each surgery took the decision to go into partnership with the firm.

Following a series of long-running operational issues that, among other things, made it difficult for patients to contact their surgery and book appointments, the decision was made in May 2019 for IMH to withdraw from primary care in Swindon.

In August, the CCG announced the first of the new providers that would be working with the practices on a permanent, long-term basis.
